Tigerpaw dug his claws into the soft ground. About half a moon ago he had fought in the big battle for Sunningrocks. He could still remember how during the battle he had gone crazy with blood lust and attacked any cat in his path. He had felt so powerful, but it also made him terrified to think of how he had been so willing to kill another cat. He shivered.
Now finally half a moon later he was going to go back to the apprentice’s den and continue his training. He knew he would have to work extra hard because now he was an entire moon behind all the other apprentices and he needed to catch up.
Also tonight there was a full moon. Tigerpaw hoped that this time he would be able to go. After how hard and great he had fought he just knew the Sunstar would pick him to go this time.
Spottedpaw was in the back of the medicine cat’s den organizing herbs. Featherwhisker was also back there. First Featherwhisker needed to check Tigerpaw’s wounds one more time to be sure there was no infection and that they had healed nicely. Then he could finally leave and go with his mentor Patchpelt for some training.
After a few moments Featherwhisker came from the store and padded up to where Tigerpaw lay. He checked his wounds and had Tigerpaw stand to be sure that the bad wound he had gotten on his leg was healed and he could stand properly.
“Alright you can go Tigerpaw. Just be careful not to train to hard or you’ll open your wounds.” Featherwhisker explained.
Tigerpaw nodded and eagerly left the medicine cat’s den for the first time in so long. He looked around the clearing and saw that Patchpelt was walking towards him.
“I’m glad you’re finally out of the medicine cat’s den. You ready to start training again?”
“Yes.” Tigerpaw said with excitement.
“Okay today we’re going to do some battle training with Redpaw and his mentor.”
Tigerpaw felt dread and anger flow through him for a second. He shook the feeling away and nodded to his mentor. Patchpelt led him out of the clearing and into the training hollow where Redpaw and his mentor were already there waiting.
Redpaw had a cocky smile on his face.
I can’t beat him! This isn’t going to end well. He thought.
Tigerpaw hadn’t fought in a while now. He was still kind of stiff and would probably lose to Redpaw and Tigerpaw knew if that happened Redpaw would never let him forget it.
“Go easy on him Redpaw he’s still weak from his injuries.” His mentor told him.
Tigerpaw dug his claws into the now frosty ground. He hated being treated like a little kit. He was more then that. Tigerpaw was strong he would never let his brother beat him again.
He stood ready to fight Redpaw. Redpaw sat calmly across the hollow with a cocky smile on his face. Patchpelt turned to Tigerpaw.
“Alright are you two ready?” Redpaw nodded and got ready to attack, crouching low to the ground. Tigerpaw nodded his head too. “Then go.” Patchpelt said.
Redpaw immediately leaped towards Tigerpaw. Tigerpaw was ready for him and stood up onto his hind legs. He came down on top of Redpaw pinning him under his weight. Redpaw wiggled and struggled beneath Tigerpaw, but couldn’t get out of his grip.
He had beaten Redpaw. It had been so easy it was surprising. Never before had he been able to beat his brother, but now he was able too.
Tigerpaw lifted his paws off Redpaw and let him stand up. Redpaw shook himself and stalked away to his mentor’s side.
“Wow. Good job Tigerpaw. You are doing well soon you will become a full warrior.” Patchpelt said.
Tigerpaw smiled happily. He was still amazed that after so long he had been able to beat his brother. He felt like he could do anything now. Nothing could stop him.
Wow this is getting long. :P

Hopefully I'll get more up soon!

Slowly but surely becoming evil :meow:
Haha.
Featherwhisker is pretty true, though! Did you read Bluestar's super edition thing?
